It's a few minutes after midnight, and I'm sequestered behind the back bar, downstairs at Café du Nord in San Francisco. I'm here to cover the JamWow! Festival, featuring Garaj Mahal, LA-based guitar phenom Alex Machacek, and Heavy Rubber with guest guitarist Lindsey Boullt.
My gig here is to provide a steady stream of "tweets" that are being blasted across the Twittersphere and simultaneoulsy displayed on a screen over my left shoulder, in full view of the dancing, jamming folks packed into the club tonight.
My idea was to do a sort of a music video pop-up kinda thing: fun facts, interesting notes about the bands, the individual musicians, the songs, the scene. Garaj Mahal is into its third song of the set, and I've already sent out 130 tweets.
So... does this make me a "Twee-jay?"
