This just in: The Department of Music at the University of California, Berkeley will present a benefit concert for its Jazz and Contemporary Improvised Music (JCIM) fund on Friday, February 6 at 8 pm at the Alfred Hertz Memorial Hall on the Berkeley campus.
The benefit performance will feature two-time Grammy Award nominated jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti and his trio, with an opening set by UC Berkeley students in the Contemporary Improvisation Ensemble, under the direction of pianist and composer Myra Melford.
A pre-concert Q&A with the artist will take place from 7:15 to 7:45 pm in Hertz Hall, and is included in the cost of admission.
