Over the years, the folks at SFJAZZ have expanded from a handful of jazz concerts in October to a year-round series of top-flight performances, hailed internationally as one of the premier showcases for jazz.

This year, SFJAZZ celebrates its 26th anniversary with SummerFest, a summer season of free jazz concerts at Union Square and Levi's Plaza in San Francisco, and the Stanford Shopping Center on the Peninsula. Performers include Lavay Smith & Her Red-Hot Skillet Lickers, drummer Scott Amendola and keyboardist Wil Blades, the Doug Beavers Latin Quintet, Carnatic jazz-fusion group VidyA, and more.
