Just as variety is the spice of life, it's also the condiment that has sold out nearly every jazz concert at the historic Filoli mansion for
the past 19 years, and 2010 — which marks the 20th anniversary of this popular Peninsula jazz series — promises to be just as
satisfying as years past.
At these six Sunday afternoon concerts you'll find very different approaches to
jazz, from smooth jazz crooner Nicholas Bearde to the trad-jazz Jim Cullum Jazz Band. Add three outstanding jazz
singers — Robin McKelle, Janis Siegel and Eliane Elias — and Bay Area pianist Larry Vuckovich to
the mix, and you've got a great summer of jazz amidst the scenic gardens and grounds at Filoli.
Gates open at 11 am on concert days, and you may tour the
property before the concert. Seating begins at 1 pm, and the concerts are held from 1:30 to 4 pm on Filoli's garden
stage. Parking, snacks and drinks are included in the ticket price, and shows sell out quickly, so place your order soon.
