Just as variety is the spice of life, it's also the condiment that has sold out nearly every jazz concert at the historic Filoli mansion on the Peninsula for
18 years. At these six Sunday afternoon concerts you'll find a full menu: blues, boogie, swing, classic big band, and very different approaches to modern
jazz.
Plus,
Filoli celebrates its 100th live jazz concert on Sunday,
July 12, featuring the Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra
and special guests from Filoli concerts of yesteryear (the
summer series began back in 1991, so there's no telling
who'll be joining Shelby and his orchestra).
Gates open at 11 am on concert days, and you may tour the
property before the concert. Seating begins at 1 pm, and
the concerts are held from 1:30 to 4 pm on Filoli's garden
stage. Parking, snacks and drinks are included in the ticket price, and shows sell out quickly, so place your order soon.
