
Hometown saxophone hero Joshua Redman brings his trio to
UC's Zellerbach Hall on Thursday, February 28

Performances, the venerable UC Berkeley performing
arts organization, has announced its jazz concert series for
the Spring 2008 season.
This
year's concerts include appearances by saxophonists Sonny
Rollins and Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis
and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, four-time
Grammy-nominated West African singer Angélique Kidjo, the SFJAZZ
Collective, and the Monterey Jazz Festival 50th
Anniversary touring band (featuring Terence
Blanchard, James Moody, Benny Green, Derrick
Hodge, Kendrick Scott, and special guest
vocalist Nnenna Freelon).
All
concerts will be at the Zellerbach Hall on the UC campus.
